Their game, TINY METAL, will be instantly recognizable to fans of the aforementioned franchise when it arrives this fall for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Mac OS X. Of course, the team is also looking to attract new players who might have missed out on the ‘Wars' series itself or have never touched an RTS to begin with. A note on playtime: Tenderfoot Tactics has a nonlinear structure and much of the game is exploratory, optional content. A speedrun could probably finish the game in a couple of hours or less, but average playtimes for people looking to see all the game has to offer probably average more in the 25-35 hour range for a full playthrough. Find games for macOS tagged Tactical like tacs, Haxbot AI: Strategy, Aiming.TryHard, The Arena, 2D Tactics on itch.io, the indie game hosting marketplace.

Attempted to run on Mint Linux but received an error that the game was not compatible with the latest version of LOVE.

Mini harvest was made using love2D v 0.10.2 and because newer versions changed the functions (like newVideo) unless you get v 0.10.2 you'll run into errors.

This game is pretty sweet. The time it takes to do anything is just right that it all feels satisfying. Art is awesome, too! :)

i have lost track of the amount of times i've opened this game to start again and redecorate my garden. its an adorable and relaxing game. keep it up!

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that the Linux download is actually for MacOS. Would love a Linux version tho!

ah sorry about that! I'll make a Linux version right now :P

hey, so I looked around on the love website and tutorials on if there's any way to make a linux version, and I couldn't find anything on it, I'll ask the forums if they know a solution. I'll make sure to notify you if I figure it out!

Oh I think you can actually just upload the .love file!

A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

When an experienced thief who actively avoids prophecies got cursed by the very thing he's stealing, he tries his best to get on with his thieving life as normally as he can.
Unfortunately, this is one prophecy he cannot avoid!

A short parody of fast-paced RPG plot developments where the main character is self-aware of the kind of world he is thrown into and will call things out as he sees it!

Highlights:

  • Parodies classic RPG plotlines and clichés with our ever genre-savvy protagonist!
  • Interact with many different items and people as you explore the land!
  • Meet humorous cast of characters, plus a sword!
  • Enjoy as the characters roast me in my attempt at mapping the game!
  • Oh to be a thief unconsciously charming a strong handsome elf who then tries to win your heart over. Wait, you mean that happens in this game? Yes!

Game details:

  • Gameplay time: 2+ hours
  • Controls: Arrow keys for movement, Z for Confirm, X for Cancel.
  • This game has a linear storyline!
  • Battles are super easy.
  • It is recommended not to rush and take your time exploring the atmosphere!

Have fun!

(This game was made under 20-days from a trial mode of RPGMaker MV, which serves as my first test-game to learn on how RPGMaker works in the first place!)

  • Arthur 2.2 Birthday Update!

Just finished the game. It was pretty fun! The story kept me invested, and while I felt the ending was a bit abrupt, I definitely enjoyed the buildup to that final reveal, even if it's not hard to predict the twist if you pay close attention to what's implied through the dialogue. Still, I enjoyed the experience, and I'd be happy to try any new projects you might make in the future.

Thank you so much, Mark!! Admittedly enough, my trial for RPGMMV was at the 19th day when I wrote that ending, so it was definitely rushed as heck! Hahaha! Congratulations on picking up the clues through the dialogues! It was such a fun experience putting certain things everywhere. I hope you enjoyed the after-credits as well!

Thank you so very much for the comment, this made my day!

I'm glad to hear it! Now, this might be a minor nitpick, but the 2.1 update said something about a post-game CG, but I don't think it triggered for me. I got the extra scene where Artur and Arthur had a nice lunch with everybody, and then the game took me back to the title screen. Was this what was supposed to happen?

Oh, that's certainly odd! Thank you so much for informing me! I'll look it up immediately! What's supposed to happen is after that lunch scene, the screen should fade out and show this image! Here, I'll show it to you since you missed it!

And the image pans up into a text that says 'Until our next adventure!'

After that, it should boot you back to the title screen.

Alright, I've downloaded the 2.1 version myself to try in another device and the CG worked as intended, hmm. Can you tell me whether you played for Windows or Mac OS?

Tiny

My goodness, I can't thank you enough for finding this bug! =O! Now that I own RPGMMV, I should put your name in the 2.2 update under the betatester list for finding this crucial bug aaaa

Thanks for the response! This really is a nice picture!

Also, I was playing the Windows version, and my PC is a Dell XPS 13 Laptop, if that helps.

Arthur is a fun and funny little adventure.

The dialog is sure to crack you up, the maps are very nicely made (especially considering the dev is an admitted RPGMaker n00b who cranked it out within the 20 day trial!), and in addition to looking great they contain a lot to find for players who like to thoroughly explore environments.

It's a long enough game to be a satisfying quest, but short enough that you won't have to make a big time commitment to try it out and even finish it.

Awesome title track too!!

I am forever grateful that we released our games at around the same time so we get to experience each others' games, it's such an honor to hear you enjoyed the adventure!

Thank you so much ;-; Demon attack (itch) mac os.

Same here, highly serendipitous timing! Thank you so much as well, I look forward to your next creation!

I just got done finishing this game and wow.. first off, the fact you made it during the trial period of MV is impressive! For an RM newbie, the mapping in some places are really nice to look at (I've used RM for a few years now and my mapping remains horrendous haha, so props to the thoughtful mapping!) I really liked how Artur is completely self-aware, so it gives a feeling of breaking the forth wall without totally breaking it. I also loved how almost everything with interactable, I love RPGs like that! Swordy was a really nice companion, and his backstory actually brought a tear to my eye! The characters were all unique and interesting, and the banter Artur has with everybody is hilarious (but yo Cosmicle was a little too much at times haha). For spending such a short time in this world, the story was quite engaging, despite the parody aspect of it. I really felt the journey developed really well, and you feel sucked into this world. You really do feel like Artur randomly thrown into this place! It was a funny experience with a few touching moments, good job! Also, 'Death Should Not Have Taken Thee' menu music. props to that! I notice Artur sort of, kind of resembles Len? I assume this was on purpose. Anyway, throughly enjoy it, and if you ever use MV again, I can't wait to see what other fun stories and worlds you come up with!

I cannot articulate enough how thankful and unbelievably happy your comment made me! It took me hours to think how to respond, but please note both you and El.Seth has made me incredibly hopeful to eventually purchase RPGMaker. To think my learning process can give this much enjoyment to others, and veterans at that.! I'm so, so honored.

You've pointed out so many good points, I am a pile of embarrassed mush, but I will try my best to put my thoughts into words!

Oh goodness, the mapping! I had so much trouble with that! I had to look up examples and read up tips from the community, and my respect to game-makers grew like tenfold. It is so difficult! Mad respect to people who do these for years, oh my gosh, and that includes you!

As for the characters, I am pleasantly surprised to know that people find them interesting! Due to the parody nature of the game, I had no higher goals than to hope they could amuse the players, even a tiny bit. To know that you found them to be fun is incredibly humbling, I could not be happier. 🥺

Ah! You interacted with things around you! That makes me so glad! Thank you!! It was so fun putting tidbits and conversations here and there! The plot development moved so fast, the only way I could give the characters some room to be themselves is by item interaction! Thank you so much for noticing this! I asked my brother to betatest and he nyoom-ed so fast to the next plot, it made me sad HAHA

The fact that you recognize the music made me smile from ear to ear! To be honest, the title music and art was originally the default RPGMV one, but 5 days in development, my playlist suddenly played Death Should Not Have Taken Thee and only then did I notice, 'Hey wait. This is the exact feral energy I wanted in this game!' and that Artur looks similar to Len. Which I immediately took advantage of for the title art hahahaha.

Thank you so, so, so much for your earnest and heartfelt comment, you and El.Seth helped me in finding confidence to go further. I never knew making games can make me feel this happy. Thank you!! I will make sure to return the favor and try your games as well after I fix my laptop! There's so much I could learn! So much stories to discover! I am excited!

Thank you for making my first experience this amazing. I will remember your kindness, as well as El.Seth's forever.

I am very happy to have made you happy! Your game was really thought out and funny, and the interactable truly helped me feel more immersed with the world and build my love for the relationship between Artur and Swordy! I think RMMV is a good investment, you will love using it regularly! Wow, you did a lot of research for mapping! I admittedly always wing it hahaha, and despite my horrendous style, I feel it embodies uniqueness in its own right (but an eyesore to most lol). So your mapping skills are very pretty and well thought, methinks. I really do look forward to future stories you tell!

Hi! I just dropped by to say this game is amazing and the humour is gold! I'm glad I came across this gem! Love the facts that Artur is invincible (I never used potions lmao), Cosmicle is 70 levels above everyone else, and Swordy is so cute and precious awww~ I enjoyed the snarky comments both Artur and Swordy makes when investigating (and stealing) literally every object in the game- especially the part when Artur picks the lock in the inn and the NPC was just like WTH how are you here!? And then the childish scuffle with Caesar- HAHA that got me rolling. There was not a single scene when I did not laugh out loud, and for your first RPG maker game, I think you did a great job! Cheers to you!

Hi! Oh my goodness, you have no idea how many times I've read and reread your message, it makes me so incredibly happy! Thank you so much for taking your time to play and even commenting, I'm so honored it can make at least one person laugh!

Once my laptop is up and running again, I will make sure to try some of your games as thanks!!! I saw your list and am highly interested in some of the titles 👀

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THIS HEARTWARMING COMMENT 😭❤ Poker for free online.

Hey, it's no problem at all! Your game does deserve more love though.

And you don't have to force yourself to do that haha but I appreciate the thought!

You're welcome and I'll be looking forward to your next games (if you are making others)!

Tiny Tactics (itch) Mac Os X

Noooo, believe me, I want to! I love stories! I also just realized you've made VN games for Androids too, that's amazing!! I can definitely play them this way without my laptop! Bless you!!
